Over the past few days I have been looking at a number of lawns in Flintshire and Wirral and have been surprised at the level of moss in lawns. I don’t know why I am surprised – after all, it feels like it has been raining constantly for months.
However, the depth, thickness and sponginess of the moss is really quite alarming, and so many people are trying to cut their lawns too short, which means the blades are just ripping through the moss and making it look even worse.
So what can you do? You could rake some of it out, you definitely should raise the height of your cut. But ultimately, until you deal with the moss, and the causes of the moss, and strengthen the grass plant, your lawn will look rubbish.
Of course. we can help with all of this – we will treat the moss, we will advise you on the best way of dealing with the causes of moss, we will cut your lawn professionally, we will feed your lawn and improve the health of the plant, and therefore the appearance.
If you want to do it yourself that is fine, but why go to the bother of doing it yourself, when we can do it quicker, more accurately, more professionally and possibly even cheaper than you would.
Spring is just round the corner, the buds are appearing on the trees, the daffodils are raising their heads… get your lawn ready for spring too, and banish unsightly moss, weeds and unhealthy lawns with a single text, phone call or email.
